Approach to Care

At our practice, we believe healing is most powerful when it is deeply personal. Every individual we serve is met with a tailored treatment plan designed to reflect their unique story, strengths, and goals. We take an integrative approach that combines evidence-based psychiatric medication with a range of complementary modalities to support mind, body, and spirit. Our care is highly collaborative: we partner closely with patients to ensure their voice guides the process, and we coordinate with other providers to create continuity. The result is an individualized experience rooted in trust, connection, and the shared pursuit of lasting well-being.

Our approach to care: Haven is a psychiatric practice led by two board-certified psychiatrists: Dr. Marguerite Maguire and Dr. Danielle Lenahan. We are able to see patients living in Oregon and California. Oregon residents may choose in-person or telepsychiatry visits, while California residents are seen through secure telepsychiatry.

  • Initial Visit

    Should you decide to schedule a visit, please anticipate the initial consultation lasting 60 minutes. Loved ones are welcome to join.

  • Follow Up

    Should additional treatment visits be scheduled, follow-up appointments are 25 minutes and usually take place every 1-4 months depending on the individual’s needs.

  • Payment

    Payment is due at each session and may be made by check, cash, or credit card. Superbills (receipts) are available upon request and may be submitted by the patient to his/her insurance company for reimbursement.

Our primary focus is medication management, approached with care for the whole person. Appointment often include discussions of lifestyle factors — such as nutrition, exercise, supplements, and behavioral strategies — because meaningful change often extends beyond medication. If a patient is not already connected to a talk therapist, we will find you a great one.

Haven is a private, out-of-network practice, designed to provide flexibility, depth, and thoughtful attention without the constraints of insurance. This means we are not contracted with, or in-network for any insurances but can provide you superbills that you can submit to your plan for reimbursement.
